What To Wear

So for those of you who do normal things in your spare time like eat and sleep, you may not belong to fifty different online sewing groups, or lurk about on blogs where people share the darkest secrets of their  their handmade capsule wardrobes.  But I am constantly exposed to these stimuli, and apparently they have taken hold in my brain like a cancer, causing me to resolve to create my very own collection of travel clothes.  And since nothing says "America" like Old Glory, I sewed up my wardrobe in red, white, and blue, Baby!

I didn't really have a cogent approach to this project, mostly just compulsively buying various fabrics then waiting for them to tell me what they wanted to become.  So the end product is more of a pile than a capsule - but I love it anyway.  I didn't go completely handmade, lategely because I have not yet mastered the Art of Pants.  Plus even I sleep sometimes.  But as I pack this morning, I'm looking at 13 shirts, three dresses, two skirts, a cardigan, and an infinity scarf - all handcrafted right here in the USA by none other than yours truly. J&Z will be sporting some of my makes as well, plus there are several pieces that will be staying home - it's been quite a productive couple of months!

Soon I'll post photos of my creations on location across the greatest country on earth, but for now I just want you to know they exist.  I am inordinately pleased by this fact.

Making my wardrobe great again...

Talk again soon FROM THE ACTUAL ROAD!!  XO Jules
